Quality framing materials
are one of the most important aspects of constructing a sound
and safe home. The quality of lumber products vary greatly and
it is important the right materials are used.
Structural framing materials for new homes originate
from the softwood species of trees - usually spruce, pine and
fir. Construction grade materials should be good, sound lumber
with tight knots and limited blemishes, free of warp, splits,
checks or decay. S-Dry lumber is recommended for most applications
because it limits moisture content to 19% or less.
At Mountain View Homes only the best materials
are used in construction. Materials are hand picked for the best
quality. Choosing a quality builder is the first step to choosing
quality materials when building a new home.
